Clarence was born to teach snowboarding. Originally hailing from Montreal, Canada, he grew up sliding down his local slopes before the mountains started calling. He found his passion coaching people from all over the world in the small powder town of Fernie, BC.
It was after 11 years there that a new life would start for him. Together with his Swedish partner, they decided to raise their family in the Scandinavian Alps of Åre. To this day, Clarence still remains a true Canadian host, located for your convenience in one of Europe's top destinations for snowboarding holidays.

With all of his 20 years of experience coaching and guiding people of all ages, Clarence can teach snowboarding to anyone. Specializing in off-piste freeriding and carving, look no further to expand your skillset. Tuition can be conducted in French, English and Swedish.

SWEDISH SETTING
As of 2024, we are now located in Åre, Sweden. This 4 season resort town offers unparalleled guest experiences. Activities other than skiing and snowboarding include hiking, mountain biking, dog sledding, paragliding, canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, sightseeing, ziplining, climbing, ice driving, and fishing.
All of that is combined into a cozy village that offers a wide variety of accommodations, shopping by some of Scandinavia's top brands, and world class eating and dining.​

At CG Snowboarding, we believe that snowboarding is fun, and we want to keep it that way. Therefore, by signing up to a private lesson or camp with us, we make sure that you have a smile on your face at all times. Even in the hardest of climbs up to a powdery peak. The session will always start with an assessment of the guest's goals. We will then find fun and pedagogical ways to reach these goals, all whilst exploring the best areas of the mountain, and looking for the best possible snow. Throw into the mix Clarence's knowledge of where to eat or go for the best refreshments after the day, and you get the perfect host for your snowboarding holiday.

Clarence is a certified Level 4 Instructor and Level 3 Evaluator with the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI-ACMS). He keeps himself up to date with their latest training and coaching methods by attending both physical and online sessions. Clarence also holds an International Snowsports Instructors Association (ISIA) Safety certificate, which means he can safely take out of the boundaries of the resorts and show you the way back. This has provided some of our guests with some of the best riding conditions of their lives. We are also always looking for ways to keep improving and developing ourselves. Further avalanche safety and guiding courses are planned in the coming winters to keep offering you the best service in the industry.
